Team DGR

Dirty Girl Racewear is a family owned company started by the daughter of a 42 year veteran of dirt late model racing.  The race track is our home away from home and we couldn't be prouder to be part of a lifestyle we care so much about.  Our passion for the sport shows through in our success and we are proud to share with you that the company has grown by leaps and bounds each year since our inception in late 2012!  We are known for offering quality garments and unique apparel and accessories, while being friendly and providing exceptional customer service!  We've long believed your friends at the track are like family.  We are excited to share with you the race families that we've chosen to offer sponsorship to for the 2016 season!

DGR is also very proud to share that we are a sponsor for the Beaverton High School JV/Varsity Football Program located in Beaverton, MI and the Mid Michigan Storm Hockey team located in Gladwin, Michigan and the Mid Michigan Heat Softball Team located in Midland, MI.  We also sent gift baskets of apparel to Penns Creek Raceway go kart track and Merritt Speedway for their racing banquets. DGR also supported several drivers during off season by sending gift baskets filled with apparel or gift certificates for the race parties that help fund their costs of racing.  We are proud to be a sponsor at Florence Speedway and the sponsor of Putnam County Speedway's Powderpuff Division!  We were also a proud sponsor of the Show Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway in 2015!

Steve Landrum

Steve is excited to be winding down his long racing career with his really great "racing family" sponsors; and looking forward to the next few years racing along side his son who moved up to the late model class this year. His crew members are his beautiful wife Missy Landrum, his sons Trevor Landrum & Aaron Wilmhoff, & family friend Cameron Reynolds.  He has great pride in driving clean and not driving rough. Steve feels he has achieved this and gained a lot of respect from his fellow drivers for doing so.  Steve was given the nickname "The Quiet One" many years ago from a fan because of his gentle, humble personality.

Don't let the nickname fool you, behind the wheel he is very competitive.  Over the years he has won over 80 races.  With over 30 years of racing experience his achievements are many.  He holds the record for the most track championships at Florence Speedway, 6 and counting! He was a Kentucky Dirt Classic Winner, a UMP National Champion and a North/South Shootout winner.  The family room is lined with trophies and he is filled with lots of stories and fun memories to share. Jesus, family and racing is what Steve holds closest to his heart.

David Mielke

David Mielke's love for speed comes from nowhere strange. Racing snowmobiles was a hobby that his father, cousin, and great uncle all took part in. As a young kid, David was also able to put some laps on his sled. But his mother preferred him to follow a slightly safer route. One Friday afternoon David dragged his dad, Alan, to watch some racing at Mt. Pleasant Speedway. Of course the For Sale sign on the window of a four-cylinder Pinto peeked his interest. It wasn't long before both a decision and an offer was made!

The spring of 2006 arrived and the orange #87 Pinto made her debut. Mielke had luck on his side right from the start. He brought home a total of 7 feature wins his first season. Mielke did not travel in the beginning of his career. His first years were spent only at MPS. After getting hooked on the sport, he went on to race and win the track championship at Merritt Speedway. Needless to say, the Pinto was worth every penny! Alan and David both still love that car and what they were able to accomplish with it. An astounding 32 races were won by Mielke and almost all before he even had a driver's license.

After grabbing all those checkered flags, David decided he needed to challenge himself. In the spring of 2009, the #87 made its way onto a street stock. Some challenge...Mielke parked the xtreme street stock in victory lane 9 times that year. David's little brother, Kyle decided he needed to give this swift car a try. It was then that they formed Mielke Brothers Racing.

By the spring of 2010, Mielke was undergoing several challenges. While Kyle had instant success in racing the street stock, Alan and David ventured west to purchase his first UMP open-wheel Modified BMS chassis. Getting a new car ready to race a new class as well as starting college courses certainly proposed some struggles. With only picking up one win at Merritt in '10 and one win in 2011 at Cherry Raceway, they decided it was time to part ways with that car.

In 2012, David bought a brand new Rocket by Ruhlman and won an amazing 10 races that season, along with his first state championship. With that car being so good, they decided to run it again for the '13 season. Racing at Volusia Speedway had always been a dream for David and in 2013 his dream came true. Although he raced hard and finished decent, his Rocket did not make it to victory lane. That didn't hurt his feelings too much since he went on to win 15 races along with the Michigan Dirt Cup championship and a second consecutive state title that season.

In 2014, David purchased his second brand new Rocket by Ruhlman and had his best season to date. Winning 18 races and his third consecutive Michigan State title, he yet again decided to keep his Rocket for a second year.

The 2015 dirt racing season was a lifetime high for Mielke. Racing 48 nights, the #87 modified was parked in victory lane 34 times! Of these wins, some of Mielke’s highlights include the inaugural Summer Showdown at Merritt Speedway, the Birthday Race at Oakshade Raceway, the MDC show at Berlin Raceway, his fourth consecutive MI UMP championship, a second MI Dirt Cup championship, and finishing #3 in national UMP points; as well as several other great accomplishments! David earned his 100th career win in 2015 as well as tackling the task of winning at every single UMP dirt track in the state of Michigan. Mielke is excited to see what the 2016 season has in store after such an epic season last year.
